Using Shapes to Create Frames for Text
How To Use Shapes To Create Frames For Text
Step 1. Open Photoshop and create a new canvas.
After you've created a new blank canvas you're going to want to select your shape tool and choose a simple shape from your library. (For this demonstration I'll be using a simple circle)
Step 2. Draw your shape in the center of your canvas.
(Be sure that your shape is big enough so that text will fit inside) You're also going to want to change your fill to "no fill". (Just for demonstration purposes) It's the option with the red line through it.
Step 3. Select your type tool and move to the edge of your shape so that your type cursor has a circle around it. When it does, you can click and then begin to type inside your shape. Filling the interior, like so. (See image below)
Step 4. Adjust the size of your text and shape until you reach a desired result.
